Violence in Baja California Massacre leaves 10 people dead

At least 10 people were killed and 7 injured in an attack in the town of San Vicente.

BAJA CALIFORNIA MEXICO. This Saturday a massacre took place in Baja California in the port of Ensenada, at kilometer 90 of the Transpeninsular Highway, where a local sand road race was being held.

Despite the presence of the National Guard and municipal police, an armed group aboard a black pickup truck arrived at the site and fired at a group of people, including the delegate of San Antonio de las Minas, in Valle de Guadalupe.

Investigation agents unofficially reported that it was a criminal group linked to what remains of the so-called Tijuana Cartel or Arellano Felix; however, no further information about the attackers and the victims has been made public yet.

So far in 2022, 170 massacres have been recorded in Baja California.
