34 migrants rescued after being kidnapped in San Luis Potosi

Authorities rescued 34 of the 50 migrants who had been kidnapped by an armed group in San Luis Potosi.

Mexico. On the afternoon of Wednesday, May 17, six migrants were found, among them a minor, who told how they were assaulted by individuals with long guns.

The Prosecutor’s Office stated that the location of the group of 34 people was achieved after more than six hours of operations in the area to locate the place where they were kidnapped.

The victims said they were assaulted and then taken to a town in Nuevo Leon called Los Medina.

They were divided into two groups, one made up of Hondurans and Venezuelans, and the other of Haitians.

They told that they managed to escape from a house in the vicinity of a hill and got help from the authorities.
